Dr. Chen holds teaching and research positions in the University College at Penn State University. He designs, builds, and studies ways for information sciences to enhance thinking and learning. Dr. Chen has degrees in Computer Science Engineering and Education, and currently his research focuses on the human-computer interaction for cognitive learning.

Dr. Chen's research interests include human-computer interaction, especially for cognitive learning for undergraduate students.
