Rick Brazier, senior associate dean for faculty and research in the Office of the Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses, has been named interim dean of Penn State’s 14-campus University College.
Police & Public Safety at Penn State Wilkes-Barre is committed to the safety of everyone on campus, whether they are students, faculty, staff or visitors. Campus police officers are trained in numerous skills and responses and are sworn police officers who have taken an oath to support the U.S. Constitution, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and local laws. Trained officers cover all shifts during the week while classes are in session.
Robert Friedman, a restaurateur and community leader in northeastern Pennsylvania, has committed $100,000 to create the Pauline “Pauly” Friedman Memorial Scholarship at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. The scholarship, named in honor of his late mother, will be given to full-time undergraduate students who are enrolled or who plan to enroll at Penn State Wilkes-Barre, with a preference to students interested in pursuing a degree in hospitality management.
A new exhibit, “The Historic Hayfield House – Creating a Legacy,” is now on display at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Friedman Art Gallery. The exhibit, which is open to all at no cost, honors the legacy of the estate where Penn State Wilkes-Barre is located today.
