Ten Penn State organizations will co-sponsor the 12th annual Penn State Day at Knoebels Amusement Park in Elysburg, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, May 20. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. at Pavilion M. The program will begin at 11 a.m., which includes lunch, a performance by the Alumni Blue Band, an appearance by the Nittany Lion, and prize raffles. This event is open to Penn State alumni, family and friends.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre students studying food writing and culture had the opportunity to visit The Lands at Hillside Farms as part of a class this semester, learning more about its operations and how it practices sustainability through its Sustainability and Animal Welfare Certification Tour.
A new research program for students will be launched this coming fall: The Vice President for Commonwealth Campuses Undergraduate Student Research Fund aims to support student-led projects in different fields. Participants will acquire hands-on experience in research, scholarship, and artistic efforts. They will be responsible for creating their own research problems, study proposals, methodologies, and presenting their findings.
