Verma left her home in Ajmer, Rajasthan, India, where she was born and raised, on a three-night journey that would take her to the next step in her education — fall semester at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. She is majoring in aerospace engineering and hopes one day to work for NASA and the Indian Space Research Organization.
Local high school students will exhibit their artwork during the sixth annual High School Art Exhibit at Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s Friedman Art Gallery. The exhibit, which is free and open to the public every Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., except during holiday breaks, opened Dec. 5 and will run through Jan. 31.
