Lackawanna College students who graduate with their associate degree now have direct transfer options to three regional Penn State campuses thanks to an articulation agreement the institutions announced Aug. 10 at Penn State Worthington Scranton in Dunmore.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre Chancellor Dale Jones and Director of Continuing Education Jane Ashton have announced the addition of Donna Yale to the continuing education staff at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Northern Tier Center in Towanda.
Donna Yale will be responsible for developing, selling and administering a wide variety of education and training programs for working adults and to meet employer workforce development needs within Bradford and Sullivan counties.
What happens when the sun, the moon, and the Earth all line up in a row? A spectacular phenomenon known as a total solar eclipse. On Monday, Aug. 21, millions of Americans will be witness to this occurrence, rarely seen in the United States. Penn State Wilkes-Barre is inviting community members to "SEE: the Solar Eclipse Experience," from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Aug. 21 in the Nesbitt Academic Commons on the Lehman campus.
Beginning in September and running through November, Penn State Wilkes-Barre’s Continuing Education Northern Tier Center will offer three strategic business communication skills workshops: When You Become The News, Persuasive Speaking & Writing, and Persuasive Speaking To Lock Your Sale. Workshops will be one day each, running from 9 a.m. to noon. The cost of each workshop is $125 per person.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education will be offering a Certified Recovery Specialist program beginning in the Fall of 2017 at the Lehman campus.
