Penn State Alumni Association members will soon find it easier to engage with the University in their local communities, after a change to how they access local chapters takes effect later this year. Alumni Association CEO Paul Clifford previewed the change for the Board of Trustees Committee on Outreach, Development and Community Relations during its Feb. 17 meeting.

Mildred Settle Bunton was Penn State's first Black co-ed and the first to graduate from Penn State, earning her bachelor of science degree in home economics (now health and human development) in 1932. She went on to a distinguished career in nutrition and dietetics, and the University named her a Distinguished Alumna in 1973.
