Students from Penn State Wilkes-Barre are furthering their knowledge of dolphin communications and cognition this week as they study the mammals in native and protected habitats along the Florida Keys. Members of the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Honors Program took a trip to the Dolphin Research Center in Marathon, Fl. This trip is a component of Honors 297, a course in Ocean Mammal Communications and completed the students' coursework on dolphin cognition and behavior. The students also spent time in Key West and Florida Key state parks, including Fort Zachary Taylor State Park and Bahia Honda State Park.
