It's All In The Details: Tips For Grant-Seeking Success

Do you need help writing grant proposals and developing budgets to make your organization more competitive? Then this training is for you. During the first part of this hands-on workshop, you will learn about finding and cultivating funders, writing and revising proposals, and developing budgets based on the needs of the program and grant expectations. The second part of the workshop will require you to roll up your sleeves and join a roundtable discussion about participants' actual grant proposals. You will have the opportunity to get feedback and ideas from both our instructor and other participants.

Our instructor, Lisa Wiedemer, is the Manager of University College Grant Relations at Penn State. She earned her Certified Research Administrator designation (the top certification in the field) in 2008 and her master of arts in mass communications from the University of Florida in 1995. She has been with Penn State since 2001, working with the faculty and staff at 14 Penn State campuses to prepare and submit proposals for research and programmatic funding. Prior to Penn State, Lisa was the Associate Director of Development at Juniata College, a private liberal arts college in Huntingdon, PA.
