This course combines essentials of industrial electrical safety, troubleshooting and installation, and how to meet OSHA and NFPA guidelines. Learn safe work practices for electricians, identifying dangerous electrical energy sources, how to minimize arc flash, and how to choose proper PPE. Discuss troubleshooting techniques of 480 and 240 volt systems, installation of new equipment, and theory behind over-current, short circuit, and ground fault protection. Instruction includes a blend of lecture, case studies, and interactive class discussion.
