Dear Parents/Guardians,
As the Director of Continuing Education, I would like to invite you and your children to join us this summer at the Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus for our 2023 Summer Youth Program. This summer we are pleased to offer camps for students entering grades 1–12, during the weeks of June 26–30 and July 10–14. All of our campers will receive a special Penn State Wilkes-Barre camp souvenir.
Our Continuing Education staff is dedicated to providing a safe, educational and fun camp experience for your child. Each summer we review our camp’s policies and procedures and institute any changes to better ensure the well-being of our campers. All of our instructors, camps aides, and volunteers receive training and information about their responsibilities and expectations, and all are required to pass reference and background checks, including a criminal background check and child abuse check. Our instructors and staff members supervise campers throughout their entire day on campus. During the day, campers are escorted and supervised to and from all destinations. If you have any concerns, feel free to contact me or visit Information for Parents.
You will receive a registration confirmation email prior to the start of camp containing all specific information regarding drop-off, pick-up, pre-screening and safety protocols.
Parents/guardians may sign up for emergency alerts via social media at PSUAlert. This is Penn State's official emergency alerts system. To follow PSUAlert messages on Twitter and Facebook, follow the links below.
