Audience: Wilkes-Barre Area School District Educators
Description:  This training program will provide participants with an overview of Latino culture. It is customized for educators who are experiencing increasing diversity in their classrooms. The program will provide insight on surface and deep cultural issues of Latinos. It will also provide instruction on culturally responsive teaching.
Dates: Elementary Teachers:
Wednesday April 12, 1:00pm - 3:30pm @ Heights Elementary School

Middle/High School Teachers:
Tuesday, April 25, 1:05pm - 3:35pm @ Coughlin High School
Fees: The Wilkes-Barre Area School District is covering the cost for this program; there are no individual fees. To attend, simply register (see below).
Registration:

2) Click "Checkout."
3) You will be asked to log into the registration system using your Friends of Penn State (FPS) account. If you have one, log in.
4) If you do not already have an FPS account (which is more likely), click on the button that says "Need a Penn State Digital Identity? Click here..." and fill out the form. Then click "Submit."
5) You will see a summary of what courses you are registering for.
6) Click "Continue."
7) Fill in the registration form completely.
8) Click "Purchase." (You will not be charged.)
9) In a moment you will be shown a receipt. Your registration is complete!
