Spring Executive Forum Announced: NEPA History of Brewing

On Thursday, April 13th, join Dr. Charles Davis & the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Continuing Education department for their Executive Management Series, History of the Brewing Industry in Northeastern Pennsylvania:Proud Past, Promising Future, held at The Best Western Genetti Hotel and Conference Center in Wilkes-Barre, beginning at 7:45a.m.

The History of the Brewing Industry in Northeastern Pennsylvania will show the proud past and promising future of the brewing industry in our region. A question and answer period will immediately follow the session.

From Stegmaier, Gibbons, and Bartels to SBC, North Slope, and Lionshead, the brewing of beer has always been an important part of the northeastern Pennsylvania economy and culture. Our speakers will describe the brewing industry's historically dominant role in our community, the decline of America's local breweries in the late 20th century, and the industry's resent resurgence - one fueled by today's craft brewing revolution. Keynote speakers will include Mark Joseph Riccetti, Jr. - Director of Operations for the Luzerne County Historical Society, Sam Warren - Owner of North Slope Brewing Company in Dallas, and Fred Maier - Vice President of Susquehanna Brewing Company.

Cost is $15.00 per person. Payment in full must accompany your registration form. E-mail, fax, or telephone registration must be accompanied by your credit card information. Five business days will be required to cancel a registration and not incur the registration fee. Substitution for registered participants will be accepted.
