Recreation and Intramurals

Given the impending closure of Penn State Wilkes-Barre after the 2026-2027 academic year, the campus no longer hosts competitive athletics teams. Current Penn State Wilkes‑Barre students who wish to participate in intra-collegiate athletics are able to do so through either Penn State Hazleton or Penn State Scranton. Students are encouraged to reach out to athletic and coaching staff at either campus to discuss opportunities.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre will continue to offer intramural sports and other recreational activities.
