The Penn State Wilkes-Barre volleyball team (1-1 PSUAC) won their first game of the season with a sweep of Penn State Hazleton. The match was played at Penn State Hazleton, with Wilkes-Barre winning each of the three sets 25-18, 25-15, 25-7. The Lady Mountain Lions were led by former Lake Lehman High School players Brittany Acevedo (9 aces and 14 service points) and Kahli Katulski (12 kills). Former Holy Redeemer High School player Alison Rowski added 16 digs for the Wilkes-Barre. The team will next play at home on Saturday, September 27th in a quad meet that begins at 2:00 pm. Wilkes-Barre will face Penn State Beaver at 2:00 pm and Penn State Greater Allegheny at 3:30 pm.
