Penn State Wilkes-Barre recently held a STEAM careers event designed to introduce high-school students to a variety of majors available in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics.

After a two-year hiatus, the annual High School Art Exhibit will resume for its fourth year from Dec. 8 through Jan. 31. The work of local high school artists will be on display during an upcoming exhibit at the Friedman Art Gallery at Penn State Wilkes-Barre. There is no cost to attend, and the gallery is open to the public.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre marked Nontraditional Student Recognition Week with several activities designed to celebrate and assist nontraditional students at the campus.
David Hoffman, class of 1981, Penn State Wilkes-Barre alumnus and longtime volunteer, received the 2022 Penn State Alumni Association Kay and Ernie Salvino Volunteer of the Year Award. He was honored during a special awards recognition ceremony as part of the fall meeting of the Penn State Alumni Association Alumni Council.
