The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Campus Care Team is a group of professionals from the campus community, representing a variety of areas of support on campus. This team meets regularly to assess referrals and review ongoing cases.
Mission
- Identify students in distress as early as possible
- Assist with student development and success
- Offer personalized attention to work through complex challenges
- Keep students from leaving prematurely
Prevention
The Care Team will assist students who face challenges such as academic issues, personal health or wellness issues, financial challenges, housing challenges and displacement, and with other issues or concerns that have an impact on their persistence and academic success.
Connection
The Care Team will connect students to available support services on campus and within the local community. This will be a coordinated approach, providing support with case management.
