Tuition and Financial Aid

Your college education will be one of the most important investments of your life. You need to consider both the quality and the cost of the education you will obtain in deciding how to make that investment.

In addition to our strong academic reputation, Penn State has been recognized as one of the most efficient universities in America. A Penn State education is a high-quality education and a sound investment in your future.

Tuition & Costs

The Penn State Board of Trustees sets the tuition and fees for the upcoming academic year in their July meeting. Because Penn State's tuition rates vary by campus, student level, program, and residency, the student tuition calculator below provides specific tuition rates for individual students.

Financial Aid

Nearly 80% of our students receive some sort of financial assistance. This assistance, determined primarily by need, is comprised of federal and state grants, student loans, academic scholarships, and work study.
