(Please note: Dallas must be specified as the city even though the campus is technically located in Lehman.)

Driving directions:
From the North or South (via Route I-81)
From I-81, take Exit 170-B to Rt. 309 North (not Rt. 309 Business), and go approximately 6.8 miles to Hillside Road. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hillside Road. After 3.2 miles, the road changes to Old Route 115. Continue for 2.2 miles; the campus will be on your left.
From the Southeast (PA Turnpike NE Extension, a.k.a. I-476)
Exit the Northeast Extension using Exit 105 (Wilkes-Barre Interchange). Turn left on Rt. 115 heading North (downgrade). Follow Rt. 115 which merges directly into Rt. 309 North at I-81. Go approximately 6.8 miles to Hillside Road. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hillside Road. After 3.2 miles, the road changes to Old Route 115. Continue for 2.2 miles; the campus will be on your left.
From the East (via Route I-80)
Take 80 West to the Northeast Extension (I-476). Exit the Northeast Extension using Exit 105 (Wilkes-Barre Interchange). Turn left on Rt. 115 heading North (downgrade). Follow Rt. 115 which merges directly into Rt. 309 North at I-81. Go approximately 6.8 miles to Hillside Road. Turn left at the traffic light onto Hillside Road. After 3.2 miles, the road changes to Old Route 115. Continue for 2.2 miles; the campus will be on your left.
From the West (via Routes I-80, I-180, and 118)
Take I-80 East to I-180 West. Proceed North on I-180 to Rt. 405 (about 15 minutes). Turn right onto Rt. 405. At first light, turn left towards Hughesville. In Hughesville, turn right at second light onto Rt. 118 East. Follow Rt. 118 East (approximate 45 minutes) to Old Route 115. (Look for a blue Penn State sign.) Bear right onto Old Route 115, and proceed approximately 1/2 mile. The campus is on the right.

At times, roads in the area around Penn State Wilkes-Barre can be closed due to inclement weather, flooding, or construction. Listed below are some alternate routes that visitors can take:
Alternate Route #1 (red) — to avoid the Huntsville Dam area
Go north on Route 309 to Rte 415. Follow Rte 415 North to the intersection with Rte 118. Turn left onto Rte 118 and go approximately 2 miles to Lehman Center. Bear left onto Mountain View Drive. At the stop sign at Mountain View Drive and Old Route 115, turn left and proceed ½ mile. The campus will be on your right.
Alternate Route #2 (pink) — to avoid Hillside Road
Go north on Route 309 to the light at Harris Hill Road. Turn left onto South Pioneer Avenue and then take a quick left onto Sutton Road. Follow Sutton Road all the way to the end. At the stop sign, bear right around the Huntsville Dam and follow the signs to the campus.
Alternate Route #3 (yellow) — to avoid Hillside Road and Sutton Road
Go north on Route 309 to the light at Harris Hill Road. Turn left onto South Pioneer Avenue. After the third stop sign go ½ mile to the intersection of West Overbrook Road. Turn left and follow the road all the way out to the stop sign. At the stop sign turn left onto Huntsville Road. Follow Huntsville Road until you get to the Huntsville Dam and follow the signs to campus.
Alternate Route #4 (purple) — to avoid Route 309, Hillside Road and Sutton Road (from Kingston/Edwardsville area)
From Route 11/Wyoming Avenue, turn west onto Main Street in Edwardsville. Continue straight on this road through Edwardsville and Larksville to the 3rd stop sign at Larksville Corners intersection (there is a white church on the right). Bear right and follow the road over Larksville Mountain until you reach the intersection of Chase and Huntsville roads. Continue straight to the next intersection at the Huntsville Dam. At that stop sign turn left onto Old Route 115 and follow signs to campus.
