The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost to Penn State Fayette on Saturday afternoon by a score of 65-52. The loss moved the team's record to 3-7 in the PSUAC and 6-13 overall. Freshman Breana Moore scored an outstanding 26 points for the Lady Mountain Lions, while freshman Sierra Eskridge added 11 points. The team will play next on Saturday, February 7th at 1:00 pm when they host Penn State Schuylkill.

The Mountain Lions were led by senior Keith Johnson's 25 points. Freshman Emmanuel Young added 18 points for Wilkes-Barre, while junior Denzel Mensah scored 16 points. Wilkes-Barre will play again Saturday, February 1st, when they host Penn State Fayette at 3:00 pm.

Freshman Katelyn McLaughlin led the Lady Mountain Lions with 10 points, while senior Tiara Brathwaite scored 9 and freshman Breana Moore had 8. The team will play next when they host Luzerne County Community College on Thursday night at 6:00 pm.

On Friday, January 31st and Saturday, February 1st, Penn State Wilkes-Barre will be holding its first MiniTHON, a 12-hour Pajama Party Dance Marathon benefitting THON.

The Mountain Lions were led by senior Keith Johnson with 28 points, while junior Denzel Mensah put up 21 points. The team will play next at Penn State New Kensington on Friday, January 24th, at 7:00 pm.

White Out Planned To Honor Senior Student Athletes

On Monday, February 10th, the Penn State Wilkes-Barre departments of Athletics and Student Affairs will be holding their first-ever Senior Night White Out to recognize all graduating student-athletes. Senior student-athletes from all eight sports at Penn State Wilkes-Barre will be recognized for their dedication to their team and campus. The men's and women's basketball double leader will begin at 6 p.m. in the Athletic and Recreation Building on the Penn State Wilkes-Barre campus, with events intertwined throughout the evening.
