Women's Basketball Loses First PSUAC Game

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost their first PSUAC conference game of the season to Penn State Allegheny by a score of 51-44. Wilkes-Barre's record moves to 4-7 overall and 2-1 in PSUAC. Freshman Breana Moore finished the night with fourteen points, while freshman Kian Wright added eleven points and nine rebounds. Junior Tiaira Brathwaite grabbed fourteen rebounds for the Lady Mountain Lions. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will next play on Wednesday, December 11th at Penn State Hazleton at 6:00 pm.

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team improved to 2-0 in the PSUAC to start the conference season by defeating Penn State DuBois by a score of 66-52. Wilkes-Barre's record moves to 4-6 overall and 2-0 in PSUAC. Freshman Katelyn McLaughlin finished the night with seventeen points, while freshman Kian Wright added fifteen points and eleven rebounds. Junior Tiaira Brathwaite finished the night with eleven points and seven rebounds. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will next play on Saturday at home against Penn State Greater Allegheny at 1:00 pm.

Men's Basketball Improves to 2-0 in PSUAC

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team improved to 2-0 in the PSUAC to start the conference season by defeating Penn State DuBois by a score of 78-60. The win improved the team's overall record to 5-4. Wilkes-Barre was led by three players, each scoring eleven points. Senior Keith Johnson, junior Kenneth Randall, and freshman Emmanuel Young were the players with eleven points. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will next play on Saturday at home against Penn State Greater Allegheny at 3:00 pm.

Continuing Education Offering Spring SAT Preparation Courses

Beginning January 18th, Penn State Wilkes-Barre will begin hosting two seven-week SAT preparation programs for those students interested in taking the SAT exam for the 2014 dates. Penn State Wilkes-Barre, in cooperation with Cambridge Educational Services, Inc., offers high-school students an opportunity to raise their score on the SAT and instructs students in proven test-taking strategies to help them realize their full potential on the test.

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre Women's Basketball team won their PSUAC conference opener on Tuesday night, defeating Penn State Worthington Scranton by a score of 59-54. Wilkes-Barre's record moved to 3-6 overall and 1-0 in PSUAC. Junior Tiaira Brathwaite finished the night with a double-double, scoring seventeen points and grabbing twelve rebounds.

Men's Basketball Wins Conference Opener

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team won their PSUAC conference opener on Tuesday night, defeating Penn State Worthington Scranton by a score of 90-71. Wilkes-Barre's record moved to 4-4 overall and 1-0 in PSUAC. Freshman Emmanuel Young finished the night with fifteen points and eight rebounds. Junior Kenneth Randall added fifteen points and six rebounds, while senior Keith Johnson added twelve points and four steals. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will next play on Friday at home against Penn State DuBois at 8:00 pm.

Penn State Loses Close Battle With King's College

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost to King's College by a score of 58-52. Wilkes-Barre's overall record moved to 2-6. Wilkes-Barre showed tremendous fight throughout the entire contest against the local NCAA Division III team. Freshman Kian Wright ended the night with a double-double, scoring thirteen points and pulling down fourteen rebounds.

Men's Basketball Loses to Lock Haven

Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball lost at home to Lock Haven University by a score of 98-60 on Monday night.  Wilkes-Barre's record moved to 3-4 overall. All four of the team's loses have been to NCAA opponents. Junior Kenneth Randall finished the night with twelve points, while freshman Devante Queen added ten points, four assists and two steals.  Penn State Wilkes-Barre will open up PSUAC conference play at home against Penn State Worthington-Scranton on Tuesday, December 2nd at 8:00 pm.

Men's Basketball Falls to Trinity College

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team lost to Trinity College by a score of 60-63 in the second game of the Susquehanna University Pepsi Tip-Off Tournament. Wilkes-Barre's record moved to 3-3 overall. Senior Keith Johnson finished the night with nineteen points, while junior Kenneth Randall added fifteen points. Randall was also named to the All-Tournament Team for his accomplishments over the tournament's two games.  Penn State Wilkes-Barre will next play on Monday at home against Lock Haven University at 7:00 pm.
