MiniTHON To Be Held January 31st

On Friday, January 31st and Saturday, February 1st, Penn State Wilkes-Barre will be holding its first MiniTHON, a 12-hour Pajama Party Dance Marathon benefitting THON.

Penn State Defeats Penn College

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team won at Penn College on Saturday afternoon 73-41. The win improved the team's record to 9-7 and 6-1 in the PSUAC. Wilkes-Barre was led by senior Keith Johnson with 12 points, while freshmen Emmanuel Young and Austin Walker both added 11 points. Penn-State Wilkes Barre will play next at Penn State Worthington Scranton on Wednesday at 8:00 pm.

Penn State Falls to Penn College

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost to Penn College by a score of 57-41 on Saturday afternoon. The Mountain Lions' overall record moved to 5-10 and 3-4 in the PSUAC. Senior Tiaira Brathwaite led the team with 13 points, while freshman Breana Moore added 9 points. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will travel to Penn State Worthington Scranton on Wednesday night at 6:00 pm.

Men's Basketball Loses to Penn State York

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team lost on the road on Thursday night to Penn State York by a close score of 73-77. Wilkes-Barre is now 5-1 in the PSUAC and 8-7 overall. The Mountain Lions were led by junior Kenneth Randall who scored 20 points, followed by junior Denzel Mensah, who scored 16 points. The team will next play at Penn College on Saturday, January 18th at 3:00 pm.

Women's Basketball Loses to Penn State York

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost on the road on Thursday night to Penn State York by a score of 56-83. Wilkes-Barre is now 3-3 in the PSUAC and 5-9 overall. Senior Tiaira Brathwaite led the Lady Mountain Lions with 18 points, while freshman Katelyn McLaughlin scored 13 points. The team will play next at Penn College on Saturday, January 18th at 1:00 pm.

Men's Basketball Falls to King's College

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team now holds an overall record of 8-6 after falling to King's College 87-60 on Saturday afternoon. Senior Keith Johnson led the team overall with 21 points, followed by junior Drew Walker who scored a total of 9 points. Adding to that, freshman Kendric Wiggins had 7 rebounds. Penn State Wilkes-Barre will next travel to Penn State York this Thursday at 8:00 pm.

Men's Basketball Falls at Wilkes University

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team lost at NCAA Division III's Wilkes University 69-88 on Wednesday night. The loss moved Wilkes-Barre's overall record to 8-5, but the team remains 5-0 in the PSUAC. The Mountain Lions were led by senior Keith Johnson with 19 points and 6 assists. Junior Kenneth Randall added 17 points for Wilkes-Barre. The team will next play at King's College on Saturday, January 11th at 3:00 pm.

Men's Basketball Stays Unbeaten In PSUAC

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team is now 5-0 in the PSUAC after defeating Penn State Lehigh Valley on Friday night by a score of 72-65. The win increased the Mountain Lion's overall record to 8-4. Wilkes-Barre was led by junior Denzel Mensah's 15 points and 12 rebounds. The team will next play after the new year when they face Wilkes University on January 8th at 8:00 pm.

Women's Basketball Falls at PSU Lehigh Valley

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost at Penn State Lehigh Valley on Friday night by a score of 51-61. The loss moved the team's record in the PSUAC to 3-2 and 4-6 overall. Freshman Breana Moore and senior Tiaira Brathwaite had 15 points each for the Lady Mountain Lions. The team will next play after the new year when they face Penn State York on January 16th at 6:00 pm.  

Men's Basketball Wins at PSU Hazleton

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball won at Penn State Hazleton on Wednesday night 92-76. The win improved the team's record to 4-0 in the PSUAC and 7-4 overall. The Mountain Lions were led by freshman Manny Young's 20 points. Junior Denzel Mensah added 19 points for Wilkes-Barre, while junior Kenneth Randall scored 16 points with 5 assists. Wilkes-Barre's final game before the Christmas break will be Friday at Penn State Lehigh Valley (Stabler Arena on the campus of Lehigh University) at 8:00 pm.
