SolidWorks Essentials

SOLIDWORKS is an industry-leading CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software package. It is one of the most popular 3D modeling packages, used by millions of engineers across the world.

The course will introduce basic skills in SOLIDWORKS:

  • navigation tools
  • document settings
  • making and modifying sketches on planes and planar surfaces
  • creating simple assemblies
  • making 3D parts from scratch
  • creating drawing views in an engineering drawing
  • detailing and annotating an engineering drawing

The course focuses on how the SOLIDWORKS tools and commands can be utilized to complete real-world projects using hands-on activities and examples. This course covers part modeling, assembly, drawing preparation, and detailing engineering drawings.
