Penn State Wilkes-Barre will host its biannual Executive Management Series on Oct. 3. The Discussion will focus on the problem of substance misuse and addiction in our communities. In response, Penn State has created the Consortium to Combat Substance Abuse to fuel innovative research and develop new programs.
Penn State alumni representing four northeast regional campuses — Hazleton, Schuylkill, Scranton and Wilkes-Barre — will offer “A Night of Penn State Jazz” on Oct. 15 at the historic Ritz Theater in Scranton. Doors will open at 6 pm. The concert, featuring Penn State’s Centre Dimensions jazz ensemble, will begin at 7 p.m.
Stephanie Lanza, PhD, is Penn State Professor of Biobehavioral Health, Director of the Edna Bennett Pierce Prevention Research Center (PRC), and Interim Director of the University’s Consortium to Combat Substance Abuse (CCSA).
