Certificate Programs

A certificate program is a sequence of classes that provides you with core competencies in a specific area. Gain knowledge in a new subject area, stay current with developments in your field, acquire new skills, or learn the latest technology. A certificate is an excellent credential to demonstrate your knowledge and abilities.

Credit and non-credit certificate programs are available in a wide range of fields. All of our programs are designed as flexible, convenient, short-term opportunities for professional development and self-enhancement. In addition, a credit certificate is a formal academic credential from Penn State and can “step up,” or be applied, to future academic degrees at Penn State.

In addition to Penn State certificate programs, we also offer professional certification preparation programs. These programs prepare you to take a certification examination offered by third-party professional association or organization.
