Listening to Your Voicemail

Accessing voicemail from your desk phone

  1. If you have voicemail, the handset on your phone will be lit up.
  2. To listen to your messages, press the Voicemail button on your phone.
  3. Enter your PIN when prompted to do so, and then follow the voice instructions.
  4. If you’re unsuccessful logging in, you may be asked for your ID. In this system, it’s your 11-digit phone number (ex: 1-570-675-9XXX).

Accessing voicemail when away from your desk

  1. To check if you have voicemail and to listen to it, call 570-675-9288. If you are on campus (but not at your desk), you can just dial extension 288.
  2. You’ll be asked for your ID. In this system, it’s your 11-digit phone number (ex: 1-570-675-9XXX).
  3. Enter your PIN when prompted to do so, and then follow the voice instructions.

Accessing voicemail on your computer

  1. To check if you have voicemail and to listen to it, visit https://my.voip.psu.edu.
  2. Click on the Inbox link at the very top.
  3. Click on the Play link to play your voicemail.

Resetting your Voicemail PIN

If you’re unsuccessful logging in to voicemail, reset your PIN by going to https://my.voip.psu.edu/changepin.php. If that doesn’t work, contact Wilkes-Barre IT at wbitsupport@psu.edu or 570-675-9140.

Forwarding Calls

Forwarding calls using your desk phone

  1. To forward calls to another number while at your desk phone, press the Forward All or Fwd All soft key on your desk phone display.
  2. Enter the phone number (with leading 8+1) or the extension you would like your phone to forward calls to.
    ~OR~
    You can press the Voicemail button to forward your calls directly to your voicemail. This is helpful if you will be away from your office for an extended period of time.

To revert your calls back to your desk phone, press the Forward Off or Fwd Off soft key on your desk phone display.

Forwarding calls using a computer

  1. To use a computer to forward your office calls, launch Firefox or Safari and browse to https://my.voip.psu.edu/ucmuser/main#callforwarding.
  2. Click the “Forward all calls to” checkbox so there's a check in the box.
  3. Enter the phone number (with leading 8+1) or the extension you would like your phone to forward calls to.
  4. Click Save.

 To revert your calls back to your desk phone, go to the same web page, un-check the “Forward all calls to” checkbox, and click Save.
