To celebrate 100 days until graduation and to provide all the necessary information for graduating seniors, a Countdown to Cap and Gown Luncheon will be held on Thursday, January 30. The luncheon will include remarks from Chancellor Dr. Dale Jones and will provide important details from the offices of the Registrar, Academic Affairs, Career Services, Bookstore, and the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Alumni Society.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre will host its annual Northeastern Pennsylvania Chamber Music Society (NEPACMS) benefit concert on Jan. 10 featuring a special performance of music composed by a faculty member at the campus. "A Bohemian Winter" begins at 7 p.m. in the historic Hayfield House and is open to the public.
Penn State Wilkes-Barre has set its sights on prioritizing the health and wellness of the campus community, with help from a partnership with Penn State LionPulse, an initiative of Penn State PRO Wellness. The campus’ efforts recently included a LionPulse wellness challenge, where 41 community members competed to see who could walk the farthest and if, collectively, they could walk the entire distance of U.S. Route 66.
