Biography

Frouke de Quillettes successfully developed and established the Information Sciences and Technology program at Penn State Wilkes-Barre and currently holds the position of Associate Teaching Professor in this department. From 1999 until 2010 she served as the program head. Prior to this, she taught Management Information Systems and Computer Sciences courses at PSU Wilkes-Barre. In addition to teaching computing-related topics, Ms. De Quillettes has taught Dutch at SUNY Buffalo and holds her teaching certification in Elementary level Physics and Physical Education. An accomplished pianist, Frouke is also a certified piano teacher.

Ms. De Quillettes is fluent in Dutch and English, and can also speak German and French; additionally, she is familiar with American Sign Language (ASL). In her spare time, Frouke plays competitive badminton in the United States, Canada, and The Netherlands, and enjoys running, biking, hiking, and travel. She is also an active volunteer, donating her time to several worthy causes.
