Senior Keith Johnson and Junior Denzel Mensah were named USCAA Men's Basketball All-American Honorable Mention. Johnson led Penn State Wilkes-Barre in scoring this season with a 15.9 points-per-game average. He also led the team in assists (3.5 apg). Johnson finished his career at Wilkes-Barre with over 1,000 points. Mensah averaged 11.8 points per game for the season, which ranked second on the team.
Senior Tiaira Brathwaite was named PSUAC Women's Basketball All-Conference Honorable Mention. Brathwaite averaged a double-double on the season for Wilkes-Barre, with 11 points per game and 10.6 rebounds per game. Her 10.6 rebounds ranked her fifth in the PSUAC. Brathwaite finished her career at Wilkes-Barre with over 1,000 points. Congratulations, Tiaira!

The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team fell to Penn State Fayette in round 1 of the PSUAC playoffs on Wednesday night 87-77. The Mountain Lions were led by senior Keith Johnson, who had 26 points on the night and who scored his career 1,000 points; congratulations, Keith! Juniors AJ Jones and Kenneth Randall both added 12 points on the night for the Mountain Lions. Wilkes-Barre ended the season 15-11 overall and 12-5 in the PSUAC. The Penn State Wilkes-Barre men's basketball team lost their last regular season game at Penn State Mont Alto on Sunday afternoon 73-65, taking them to 12-4 in the PSUAC and 15-10 overall. Senior Keith Johnson led the night with 21 points, while senior Greg Cooper and freshman Emmanuel Young both added 10 points for the Mountain Lions. Wilkes-Barre will be heading to their first playoff game on Wednesday, February 19th, at 8:00 pm, when they host Penn State Fayette.
The Penn State Wilkes-Barre women's basketball team lost a close game at Penn State Mont Alto by a score of 72-70 on Sunday afternoon. Not only did senior Tiara Braithwaite lead the night, she also recorded a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Helping her out were freshman Breana Moore, who had 19 points on the night, and freshman Katelyn McLaughlin, who added 18. Putting up a good fight, the Mountain Lions end their season 8-16 overall and 5-10 in the PSUAC.

This evening the Penn State Wilkes-Barre Athletic Department held a Senior Night White Out during the men's and women's basketball doubleheader against Penn College. The gym, decorated with balloons and "Lion's Den" signs, had a festive atmosphere from the start. Both the women's and men's basketball teams were victorious against Penn College; the women's team won by a score of 65-55, while the men's team won 93-64.
