APICS/ASCM Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM)

The APICS® CPIM® is the global standard education credential program of the Association of Supply Chain Management, ASCM®. Every Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system uses business rules originating from CPIM’s® body of knowledge. Earning an APICS® CPIM® certification shows employers that as a professional you know how to effectively manage risks and disruptions, as well as leverage technology that uses data and streamlines processes.

CPIM® Overview

CPIM® focuses on the mastery of an organization’s internal operations and provides an in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of:

  • demand management
  • plan supply
  • executing the supply plan
  • inventory management
  • continuous improvement and quality management and technologies
  • strategy and sales and operations planning

and provides the knowledge to apply this information across the extended supply chain.

Online CPIM® Certification Prep Course

This online CPIM® certification preparation program, taught by Penn State-approved and APICS®-certified instructors, is being offered by Penn State Scranton in collaboration with several other Penn State campuses, including Wilkes-Barre.

Please note: As of spring of 2023, the APICS® CPIM® program has been reconfigured as one 48-hour online program (12 weeks) culminating in a single certification exam.

Dates: January 18–April 20, 2024 (no class week of 3/25/24)
Times: Thursdays, 6:00–8:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m.
Location: Instructor-led Zoom video-conferencing
Registration deadline: January 8, 2024
Cost: $2,550 non-member ($2,350 for APICS Members)

Includes APICS® CPIM® Learning System Workbook, Student Slide book and access to online study. Students are responsible for their own exams.
